Crossroads in themselves are a powerful point of access in multitudes of spiritual practices. They are the point where many paths cross, many entities meet each other. In Vodou it is the point where the spirit world and the physical intersect, as is for other cultures. In life it is the turning point where one has many options to choose from to realign themselves or take a different walk of life. This has been a common theme in my life, as over and over I come upon the crossroads of spiritualism and sit questioning myself: is this where I need to go? Is this who I am meant to be? Is this the right practice for me?

Doors open and close all around you every day. The decisions you make align your stars, or perhaps they were always meant to be that way. Certain actions you did in the past may all lead to the crossroads you will come upon, guiding you to the true path you were meant to take. It is difficult to truly know in the end. I’ve met this dilemma so many times in both work, friendships, and spirituality. As of recently, that crossroads met me again, and at the far end of the path stood Death. For all the research and all the readings and practices I’ve done, the workings with the Goetia and self, I truly believe where the path has lead me is where I was meant to be.

Or perhaps years down the road, I’ll come across another crossroads and take a different path.

I suppose the point of all this is such: do not fear the turning point of the crossroads in your life, no matter what form it takes. Let your experience guide you and manifest the path you are truly meant to take. Aside from that, don’t be afraid of the unknown, as all opportunities are a lesson to be taught and understood. Cherish the moment your feet rest on the powerful energies of the crossroads dirt.
